Customization
FST is designed to adapt to each user. Every button on every board can be customized.
Editing a button’s text
- Press and hold the button you want to edit
- Select Edit
- Enter the new text
- Tap Save
The new text will also be used by text-to-speech when the button is tapped.
Importing a custom image
You can replace the default pictogram with a photo or an image of your choice to create familiar visual cues:
- Press and hold the button
- Select Change image
- Choose an image from your photo library or your files
- Crop and confirm
Custom images are stored locally on the device; they are never sent over the internet.
Accessibility themes
In Settings → Appearance, you can enable a theme suited to the different types of color blindness:

| Standard | Normal vision |
| Protanopia | Difficulty perceiving red |
| Deuteranopia | Difficulty perceiving green |
| Tritanopia | Difficulty perceiving blue |
These themes adjust all interface colors — particularly the numbers and the pain scale — to ensure a clear distinction for everyone.
Text-to-speech settings
In Settings → Voice:
- Voice — choose from the voices available on the device
- Speed — slow down or speed up the reading
- Volume — independent of the system volume
